TO RELIEVE THE STRESS

The New Mexico Music Educators Association offers you a program of assistance.

It is FREE!

It is CARING!

It is USEFUL!

It is PROFESSIONAL!

The NMMEA Mentoring Program offers the support of retired music educators  and current experienced teachers to new music educators.  The intent is to connect two music teachers in an educational relationship with the goal of a successful and less stressed teaching experience.

Connecting with an experienced teacher might include  advice for  teaching techniques,  strategies for dealing with administration, students, faculty and parents,  scheduling and comfort in times of stress.  This might include classroom observations,  demonstrations,  telephone advice, etc.  THE MENTORS NEVER EVALUATE OR  REPORT TO ADMINISTRATORS!

The assistance is directed toward beginning teachers,  teachers in a new position,  experienced teachers with new problems and those who just need someone to talk with. The service is at no cost and is offered by fellow educators to share the love of their profession.

WHY NOT CONNECT WITH SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS AND LOVES
MUSIC EDUCATION IN NEW MEXICO?
IT CAN BE A SATISFYING, STRESS REDUCING EXPERIENCE.

IT COULD ENRICH YOUR CAREER CHOICE!
